Tummy Time

She's getting pretty good at holding her head up. She only likes to be on her tummy when she's happy, though, and not tired or hungry.

Winter Warmth

Madilyn has this cute fleece teddy bear outfit that keeps her warm when we go outside. She's just adorable, especially with the little ears on the top of her head.

Friends

One of my former roommates and her family came over for dinner. Madi is so much smaller than 10-month old Winnie. It's fun to think how much she'll grow and develop in the next several months.

This is our sleepy girl one afternoon. She likes to sleep when she's all wrapped up like this...but she likes her little hands to poke out of the blankets.

Madi's Blessing

Madi was blessed on December 30, 2007.

First BYU Game

Madi "watched" her first BYU game this week when BYU played UCLA in the Las Vegas Bowl. She got all dressed up for the occasion, and made noise at all the right times (meaning she started crying after her daddy yelled when there was a big play).

Daddy's Little Girl

Matt is the best dad in the whole wide world! He does so much to take care of little Madi, including many of the diaper changes!!

Two Weeks Old!

It's hard to believe Madi is two weeks old now. At times it feels like she's been here much longer than that. We went to her two-week check-up today and the doctor said she's doing well. She now weighs 6 lbs 7 oz, which is up 3 oz from her birth weight. That's a really good thing. She is also now 19 inches long. Her measurements put her in the 5th percentile for weight, 4th percentile for height, and 2nd percentile for head circumference (33 cm). She's tiny, but at least she's proportional! :-)

Bouncer Pics

Here are a few pictures of Madilyn in her bouncer. If she's trying to sleep, she only likes to stay in it for a little while before she gets fussy. If she's awake, she doesn't mind it too much, but she still only likes to be in it for a little while. I think as she gets a little bigger she'll like it better.

Sleepy Girl

One interesting thing...Madilyn sure likes to sleep. She mostly likes to fall asleep while she's eating. It was that way in the hospital, too. So we try our best to keep her awake until she has gotten enough to fill her little tummy. Hopefully her desire to sleep will eventually carry over to night time! :-) Actually, she's done pretty well at night so far, too. It is really cute when she decides to be awake, though. She just sits there with her eyes open wide and looks all around. I think she's adorable!

Coming Home

We're all at home now. Madi got her first car ride, which she wasn't very excited about. She's getting used to everything here at the house, and we're all starting to get back into a routine. Of course, here's some more pictures to please Grandma.
